BACKGROUND CHECKS

Background Checks For Solvay

Go to www.ISTC.net/solvay.asp to set up background checks and drug screening for Solvay.

The Solvay USA Inc. Charleston Plant (formerly Rhodia Plant) is implementing new contractor background check (Background Check Graded BCG® 2.0 and drug/alcohol screening (Industrial Substance Abuse Testing, or ISATTM) programs. To work at the Charleston site, the contractor company must complete these checks before their employees are eligible to take the required training courses at Mid Atlantic Safety Council.

If you have questions about the setup process or the background check program, contact Victoria Baker at (409) 724-2565 x1118 or email victoria@istc.net. For questions about the alcohol/drug screening program, contact Gina Vila at (832) 514-3703 or email gina.vila@istc.net.

Background Checks For Archer Daniels Midland (ADM)

Background checks are required by Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) prior to registering for their site-specific safety orientation lesson.

Mid Atlantic Safety Council (MASC) supports the efforts of our member companies by following their requirements for identification of persons who will be taking site specific training for that facility. In addition to the basic ID checks required by the Association of Reciprocal Safety Councils (ARSC) when students check in, ADM Southport requires that a background check be completed before students are allowed to take the site's specific training.

To ensure that all contractor background checks are reviewed consistently, ADM has selected Down East Protective Services (DEPS) to conduct these checks. Contractor companies completing the checks will receive results information from DEPS, while MASC receives only an acknowledgement that the check has occurred and the results either meet or do not meet the requirements set for that person to take the site specific training.

Follow the procedure on the Set Up DEPS Account page to get started.
